Ella was and still is a legend. I remember seeing her at Congress when i was a student nurse in 2005nd every year since. I always watched in awe at the way she held the room, even when she detoured away from the topic. I was very fortunate to meet Ella when i first attebed the Cumbria branch meetings and to get to know her better as i took on the Chair role and attened congress and spent more time with her. She did so much for student nurses and so many of the other areas she supported as the Branch President including the great work she did as an embassedor for stroke recovery. Ella is irriplacable and will be missed greatly. Congress and branch meetings just wont be the same with her frank discussions, wit and wisdom.
